Burdock (Arctium lappa) is a biennial plant of the Asteraceae family. Burdock is native to Asia and Europe but has also been cultivated in other regions of the world. It has been celebrated for thousands of years for its culinary and medicinal uses.

Burdock Root

  • Burdock root can be made into a herbal infusion (tea). Have 2-3 cups daily.

    To make a tea:

    1. Use a ratio of 2-3 tsp (2-3g) of Burdock root to 1 cup (250ml) of water. 

    2. Add roots and water to a pot and bring to a boil.

    3. Cover, reduce heat and allow to simmer for 10-15 mins, then serve. 

    4. You can add citrus and natural sweeteners, we do not recommend sugar.
