Cultivated in the Andes for thousands of years, Quinoa was known to the Incas in ancient times as “Chisaya Mama”, “The mother of all grains”. Quinoa is a seed that can be cooked and prepared in the same way as a wholegrain. Quinoa is a great addition to your diet with almost twice as much fibre as most other grains. Quinoa comes in a variety of colours including black, red and white. They all have their own special flavour, discover your favourite!

Cook Quinoa and use it as a rice alternative.
It can also be sprouted and added to salads or raw dishes.
To sprout just soak for 1-2 days until the sprouts show.
1. Rinse before use. Use a ratio of 1 cup (170g) of Quinoa to 2 cups (500ml) of water.
2. Add Quinoa and water to a pot.
3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover then leave to simmer for 10-15 mins.
4. Try adding your favourite herbs and sea salt for extra flavour.
